MADINA LAKE- NEW BIO POSTED

Posted on January 21, 2009

MADINA LAKE have revealed the bio for their new album ATTICS TO EDEN which is set for a release in the UK on April 27th.

The bio fills you in a little more on the process and direction of the album…

Attics to Eden is an album that proves maturity comes with experience. One of rock’s most promising young acts takes the listener on a unique auditory voyage across layer upon diverse layer of sound. The 12 songs on the album — including “Never Walk Alone,” “Let’s Get Out of Here,” “Legends,” and the guitar-less “Friends and Lovers” — are replete with otherworldly atmospherics, epic guitars, intricate and often punishing drum-work, melodic choruses, imposing bass lines, audacious instrumentation, and Nathan’s unpredictable, inescapable vocals.
It’s a rock and roll assault on the senses, and Matthew says that’s just what the band — rounded out by guitarist and programming genius Mateo Camargo and drummer Dan Torelli — was aiming for.

Matthew and Nathan also take the lead in talking about the album and where it fits into the Adalia story that was begun with debut ‘From Them, Through Us, To You.

“The first one was a statement about celebrity obsession, so this is part two of that, which just continues on the mystery…This one goes completely surreal…like universal…”

KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES TO SUPPORT FALL OUT BOY

Posted on January 21, 2009

South Wales quintet KIDS IN GLASS HOUSES are excited to be able to announce that they will be the main support on the forthcoming Fall Out Boy tour, which hits the UK on March 5th.

Currently in the studio working on the follow-up to their 2008 released album Smart Casual, the band will be taking a break from their writing duties to entertain crowds in Manchester, London, Cardiff and Brighton on the following dates:

March
Thu 5 Manchester MEN
Fri 6 London 02 Arena
Sat 7 Cardiff International Arena
Sun 8 Brighton The Brighton Centre

As Aled (vocals) says: ‘These shows are going to be some of the biggest we will have ever done, and to get to play the likes of the O2 arena (where I saw Prince!) with Fall Out Boy completely blows my mind – it’s the best news to kick off our 2009 with. We’re so excited and stoked that we’re planning stage attire and arena rock poses already. (That’s not actually a joke. We seriously are.) We’ve also been writing our new record since the end of last year so we intend to play a new song, which is pretty exciting. No better way to test out brand new material than in front of 41 thousand people’

Kids in Glass Houses have previously toured with the likes of Simple Plan, Lost Prophets, Paramore, and Funeral For A Friend among others. The band’s frenzied performances to overflowing, sweat drenched tents at some of last summer’s festivals including Download, Reading and T in The Park, along with their own two sold out UK headline tours, have proven them untiring experts at entertaining on a grand scale.
