June 21st sees the release of the new album from Swedish metal masters GRAND MAGUS. Drawing hefty influences from the hand-on-heart grandeur of the NWOBHM and the inspirational mythology of their forbears, Grand Magus are steeped in pre-Christian tales of triumph, vengeance, betrayal, wisdom and death, ‘Hammer Of The North is the 3rd album from the band and the first on Roadrunner.
Here we reveal the artwork for the album, produced by designer Necrolord. Vocalist JB spoke to us about the choice of Necrolord for the artwork:
“Necrolord is a legend and has created some of the most striking and powerful images ever, he’s also closely connected with Swedish metal. We just knew that he would deliver the perfect feel, mood and imagery for the new record. No one else would come close, it’s an honour to have his artwork for Hammer Of The North”
The tracklisting of the album is confirmed as follows:
I, The Jury
Hammer Of The North
Black Sails
Mountains Be My Throne
Northern Star
The Lord Of Lies
At Midnight They’ll Get Wise
Bond Of Blood
Savage Tales
Ravens Guide Our Way
