ATREYU have confirmed the track listing for their upcoming album CONGREGATION OF THE DAMNED, which is due to hit stores October 26th.

While there is no shortage of euphoric sing-along melodies on the new album, the songs are more ferocious than anything since 2004’s The Curse. The subject matter is equally intense.

“The music is heavier and so I was able to write darker lyrics,” explains vocalist Alex Varkatzas. “There’s personal shit on there: self-doubt, self-loathing. Bands who sing about happy things have their place, and I’m not singing about dark things to promote them, I’m singing about them so I don’t go insane. It’s pure catharsis. I make music so I don’t go crazy.”

BIZARRE MAGAZINE are putting together Body Art 3, the third in their series of books about body modification. As part of this, they are looking for people who’d like to get their tattoos featured in their reader galleries. They are looking for tattoos of all kinds, but particularly music tattoos for a special music-themed gallery.

If you have a Roadrunner inspired (or general music based) body art and would like to get involved and submit your tattoos or mods for the book, you should follow the instructions below:

1. Gather good quality pictures of your ink or body mod, and a clear face shot.

2. Answer these questions for EACH tattoo or body mod that you submit:

Why did you choose it?
What response do you get from people?
What do your family think?
How do you feel about it now?

June this year saw the 10th Anniversary of the self titled debut album from Iowa’s metal titans SLIPKNOT, and as you are probably aware by now, there will be a special edition of the album made available.

Rabble-rousing Aussie rockers AIRBOURNE are excited to announce their No Guts No Glory headline tour in February, to coincide with the release of their as-yet-untitled second album. While much of the writing for the record took place in a disused Antipodean pub, the band are currently finishing up recording in Chicago with Grammy nominated producer Johnny K.

When SLIPKNOT visited the UK for their a headline run of shows in support of their self titled debut album in 2000, they stopped by the TFI Friday studios to make their UK television debut.

The performance became legendary- never had a crowd gone so crazy on TV and never had a band been so brutal! Not one but TWO cameras were lost during the live broadcast, which left millions of viewers wondering who the fuck that band were!

The person responsible for booking the acts for the show was Susan Masters, and when we mentioned to her that the bands debut album had reached it’s 10th anniversary and we would like to chat to her about working with the band around the album, she was more than happy to sit down and fill us in about why she wanted to book the band and what she remembers about that day.
