NATHAN UPDATES THE MADINA LAKE BLOG

Posted on December 11, 2009

MADINA LAKE, who hit Japan next week for a couple of shows, have updated their blog to fill in their fans about what the guys have been up too since the completion of their last tour, which concluded in the USA about 3 weeks ago, and what they have coming up.

“…It’s also a time when bands have to churn out records every year instead of every 2 years to accommodate attention spans. Accordingly we’ve decided to take the next 2 months to write our 3rd record. It’s a down time for touring in general and the fact that we’re already itching to write again makes it the perfect time to do so…We’re also routing a UK and European tour to begin toward the end of March 2010. We will announce dates and support as soon as we confirm them!”

You can read the full blog HERE.

As soon as there is news on those UK dates, we will post that up right here.

Current album ATTICS TO EDEN is in stores NOW. Pick it up online HERE or as Christmas is almost upon us, add it to your Amazon wishlist HERE!

ABOUT.COM TALK TO MACHINE HEAD’S ROBB FLYNN- DID WE SEE A MENTION OF A DVD??

Posted on December 11, 2009

ABOUT.COM recently sat down and had a chat with MACHINE HEAD frontman Robb Flynn about touring The Blackening and what the future holds for the band, including their impending Euro shows.

When you’re done touring early next year, are you going to take some time off, or jump right back in and start the next album?
“We’re going to jump right into it. We just had three months off, which was the first big break we’ve had for this album. We have a month off after this before the Europe stuff. We’re ready to get into it. We took those three months off and started writing a little bit at the end. I totally got the bug. The Blackening cycle has been such an amazing moment for the band, and it was cool to say we’re moving on from this. When we started writing it was on to bigger and better things. As much as this moment meant, it’s cool to see what we can accomplish next. I’m super excited about writing this new record…We’re doing a DVD. We’ve been filming this whole four year period. It will come out next year, probably at the end of the summer. It’s going to be the four year journey of the band, from writing the record to recording to touring to all the ups and downs and everything in between.”

TOP ALBUMS OF 2009- PART 4

Posted on December 10, 2009

In the latest of our Top albums of 2009 series, the latest Roadrunner UK reader to get their 15 Minutes of Fame with a review for their fave 2009 Roadrunner UK release is Hayley Jackson, with her review of MADINA LAKE’S current album Attics To Eden.

Once again Madina Lake didn’t disappoint with this superb album that captured the hearts of many fans as well as those new ones. The album is great to blare out as the music and lyrics are captivating yet entertaining. The album impresses both live and recorded.

One song that really gets me going is ‘Not For This World’. I think this song is awesome on so many different levels- there really aren’t enough words in the English dictionary to explain it. Overall, I think this album is totally original and separates Madina Lake from all those copy cat artists out there. They have completely out-shone any artists with this album and it may be different to ‘From Them, Through us, To You’ but the guys have maintained their high standard and from upon hearing the album you know its Madina Lake.

I believe this album will turn all the heads of those ML haters out there and make the realise Madina Lake are here to stay with ‘Atticus To Eden’.

If you missed the previous reviews, then start making your way back by clicking here for part 3 and Tom’s review of ‘Wrath’.
