AUGUST
2ND SSE ARENA, BELFAST, NORTHERN IRELAND

The full European tour schedule can be found on ironmaiden.com and the tour is expected to continue in 2019.
The concept for the Legacy Of The Beast World Tour was inspired by Maiden’s mobile game and comic book of the same name and the stage set design will feature a number of different but interlocking “worlds” with a set list covering a large selection of Eighties material with a handful of surprises from later albums to add diversity.
Maiden manager Rod Smallwood explains further, “As our fans know, we’ve been following a particular touring cycle ever since Bruce and Adrian re-joined Maiden at the start of the millennium, alternating new album tours with “History/Hits” tours. We enjoy working this way for many reasons, not least because it gives the band a chance to play both new material and the older favourites which we know fans like to hear. It keeps things fresh, not just for the fans but for the band too. “For this History/Hits tour we decided to base the theme around the Legacy Of The Beast name, which suits our purposes perfectly by giving us scope to get creative and have some fun, especially with Eddie! I don’t want to give too much away at the moment but we’re working on a number of different stage sets, all in keeping with the Maiden tradition and we hope to give our fans a fantastic experience when they come to see this very special show.”
Killswitch Engage will be Maiden’s Special Guest on headline European shows from May 26 to July 1 inclusive, and in the UK from July 31 to Aug 10 inclusive. Guests on other shows are currently being finalized and will be announced soon.
Most shows go on sale Friday 24th November, please check IronMaiden.com for full details. As always, there will be an exclusive presale for Fan Club members, starting Monday 20th.
Modern US heavy hitters TRIVIUM are excited to announce their return to the UK and Europe in Spring 2018. This will be the Florida band’s first visit since the October release of their blistering eighth album, ‘The Sin and The Sentence’.
Presented by Metal Hammer, ‘The Sin and The Sentence Tour’ kicks off in Koln on March 11, and piledrives across Europe, wrapping up in the UK on April 21 at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. TRIVIUM will be joined by special guests CODE ORANGE (UK only), POWER TRIP (all dates) and VENOM PRISON (all dates).
TRIVIUM declare, “It’s time to bring ‘The Sin and The Sentence’ to the UK and Europe! One of the greatest things about headlining a tour is picking the bands to round out the bill. CODE ORANGE, POWER TRIP, and VENOM PRISON are not only the leading edge of the next wave of great metal acts, they are also three of our personal favourites. We are going to dive deep into our back catalogue to pair up the new tunes with some older classics and a few rarities we haven’t played in a long time. See you all very soon!”
Metal Hammer adds, “Heavy music is on absolute fire right now, and this bill proves it. Metal Hammer couldn’t be more delighted to be supporting our brothers in TRIVIUM alongside three truly excellent young bands in CODE ORANGE, POWER TRIP, and VENOM PRISON on a tour that is going to tear 2018 to shreds. See you next Spring, motherfuckers!”
Upon release, TRIVIUM’s ‘The Sin and The Sentence’ clinched the top spot on both Billboard’s ‘Top Rock Albums’ and the ‘Hard Rock Albums’ chart (their second #1). Globally, the record made a stellar impact too, arriving Top 5 in Canada and Australia while cracking the Top 20 in the UK and Germany, scoring some of the band’s highest chart positions to date. Metal Hammer remark that “[TRIVIUM are] quite simply one of the best bands in modern metal.” Watch the latest video for new song ‘Thrown Into The Fire’. ‘The Sin and The Sentence’ is available at all DSPs and at www.trivium.org.
Uncompromising Pittsburgh natives CODE ORANGE continue their meteoric rise, recently gracing the front covers of both Kerrang! and Revolver magazines. The no-holds-barred band have been converting new fans across North America this Summer, in support of ground-breaking current album, ‘Forever’. The group will play directly before TRIVIUM each night in the UK.
Texan thrash band POWER TRIP are sure to be performing choice cuts from their widely praised, second album, ‘Nightmare Logic’. POWER TRIP tell us, “We’re honoured to come to Europe for our fifth time, especially with such a massive band as TRIVIUM. We’re excited to watch and learn from TRIVIUM and hang out with our mates in VENOM PRISON. The end of the tour has CODE ORANGE joining the package; it’ll be good to play with those lunatics again. That’s it. That’s all. Don’t fuck up and miss this tour.”
Hardcore death metal five-piece VENOM PRISON will open proceedings each night. The hotly-tipped UK act have had a whirlwind twelve months since putting out debut full-length ‘Animus’, including winning a Metal Hammer Golden God Award for “Best Newcomer”. VENOM PRISON enthuse, “TRIVIUM have been at the forefront of heavy music for over a decade and being asked to join such an incredible line up is an honour. We can go from big stages to house shows and are ready to annihilate them all. The scale of this tour is going be a new experience for us and we are grateful for this opportunity!”

alt-J and Code Orange have released new remixes of alt-J tracks “Adeline” and “Hit Me Like That Snare.”
alt-J drummer Thom Sonny Green has long been a fan of Code Orange’s music, which prompted the collaboration.
Code Orange guitarist / vocalist Shade explains, “I wanted to dismantle the songs entirely and completely rebuild them as if they had come from a different world, and that’s what I did. See the world with Code Orange vision. No boxes, no boundaries, no fear.”
alt-J was equally excited about the collaboration stating, “It’s not often we get to collaborate with heavy artists so having Code Orange step up and give us two amazing remixes is a real treat. We hope you enjoy them as much as we do.”
Both remixes are available today via Canvasback & Roadrunner.
Zakharov previously co-directed with Shade on Code Orange’s animated video for “Mud” which you can view here.
alt-J are Joe Newman, Gus Unger-Hamilton and Thom Green. Their debut album An Awesome Wave won the prestigious Mercury Prize in the UK and sold Gold in the US and Canada. Their second album, This Is All Yours was nominated for a Grammy for Best Alternative Album. The band have headlined festivals across the globe and sold out London’s O2 arena and New York’s Madison Square. Their latest album Relaxer is out now.
Turnstile have returned with a new single and music video. “Real Thing,” the first new music from the band since 2016’s Move Thru Me EP, is streaming today on Turnstile’s YouTube channel accompanied by an official music video directed by Mortis Studio (Adult Swim, Earl Sweatshirt). “Real Thing” debuted earlier today on the VICELAND TV Network and prefaces the release of Turnstile’s Roadrunner Records debut LP, which is set to arrive in winter 2018.
Turnstile frontman Brendan Yates explains, “’Real Thing’ is about the idea of happiness being made up in the imagination. The way you imagine perfection from your past can blind you to real beauty and life right in front of you, resulting in a circle of discontent.”
Tomorrow, November 3rd, Turnstile will begin a month long U.S. tour with The Story So Far and Drug Church (full itinerary attached). Tickets are on sale now.
Comprised of Brendan Yates (Vocals), Franz Lyons (Bass/Vocals), Brady Ebert (Guitars), Pat McCrory (Guitars), and Daniel Fang (Drums), Turnstile has gripped listeners and press around the globe with their, “…melodic riffs, bright-eyed spirit, and riotous sets…” as noted by The New Yorker. NPR revered Turnstile as, “…freewheeling and heavy…with shout-along choruses and grooves that do more than just open up the pit,” with The Washington Post adding, “…the unabashed funkiness of Turnstile feels so invigorating.” Noisey declared, “…(Turnstile) has positively exploded, moving from exciting prospect to one of the most talked about bands in hardcore,” while Stereogum asserted, “Right now, the biggest band in hardcore might be Turnstile… .” Thrasher Magazine wrote “These guys are powerful,” with GQ agreeing, “Turnstile is more than a good hardcore band—they’ve got a whole movement behind them.”
