Following on from the recent news that The Devil Wears Prada have slated their next album for Autumn 2013 & that Killswitch Engage’s Adam D. will be executive producing the record, lead singer Mike Hranica spoke to ArtistDirect.com.
In the interview front man Hranica discusses their co-headline tour with As I Lay Dying, putting together a set list and their forthcoming record. Hranica had this to say about the sound of the follow up to ‘Dead Throne’: Now that we’re singing on a bunch of these songs, I feel like they’re either more on that end of the spectrum, a few are in the middle ground, and some are upfront, mosh Zombie EP type stuff. We’re a long way from finishing, but the songs either have the “Chicago” vibe or they’re the “punch yourself in the head” type material.

Deeply-rooted as one of the most potent and powerful bands in modern American metal, The Devil Wears Prada will release their as-yet-untitled new LP, executive produced by Adam Dutkiewicz of Killswitch Engage, with producer/engineer Matt Goldman, in the fall 2013 on Roadrunner Records.
Mike Hranica, front man of The Devil Wears Prada said, “We’ve put so much time into the new songs already, and we’re really happy where things are sitting. I think with Roadrunner in the picture, it’s only more encouraging as far as compiling a record that we can be proud of and a record that exists well as Dead Throne’s successor.”
The Devil Wears Prada’s 2011 breakthrough, Dead Throne, debuted at #10 on the Billboard Top 200 and cemented the group as one of the most electrifying acts in modern metal. An incendiary live force, the band has proven relentless road warriors. In addition to countless headline dates and festival sets, recent highlights include spending summer 2012 alongside Slipknot, Slayer, Anthrax, and the one and only Mot
Royal Republic have released a statement in regards to the cancellation of their upcoming shows & frontman Adam Grahn current ill health. We all wish Adam a speedy recovery & we can’t wait to see Royal Republic back on the road again!
SHOW CANCELATION FOR ALL SHOWS UP TO AND INCLUDING AMSTERDAM!
STATEMENT REGARDING ADAM’S HEALTH SITUATION
As a lot of you might have noticed during the shows in the last weeks Adam was also infected by the virus most of us have had. Unfortunately it has not gotten better. Moreover it has turned out, that the combination of heavy touring and short resting periods of the last couple of years have driven Adam into a state of physical and mental exhaustion that permanently affect his voice and physical condition. The only solution for Adam is to rest completely to fully recover. This obviously means that we need to cancel all current dates up to and including Amsterdam, on March 1st.
This is very disappointing news for us and for all fans who have been supporting us and were looking forward to these Royal Republic shows. Especially Eindhoven and Amsterdam which have been postponed once already. Canceling these dates was probably the toughest decision Royal Republic had to make. All of us agree, health comes first and Adam needs to recover so we can deliver the performance you deserve.
We will update you on all further developments. Please contact your point of purchase for ticket refunds.
Please check the website for further updates regularly.
Thank you for your understanding.
