After blazing a trail across UK venues this month, STONE SOUR are excited to announce they’ll be returning to these shores for three additional UK dates in 2018 in support of the band’s Top 5 album, ‘Hydrograd’.  These will be the band’s ONLY UK dates next year.

Frontman Corey Taylor tells us “We’re excited to return to the UK for a second time in support of ‘Hydrograd’.  These are STONE SOUR’s only UK dates in 2018 and we’re happy to include two cities we didn’t play in December.  STONE SOUR are building towards our future, so come out in June and have a fucking good time with us!”

2017 has been a phenomenally successful year for Southampton sextet CREEPER. Their debut album ‘Eternity, In Your Arms’ received a rapturous critical reception across the board when it was released earlier this year. The album fired straight into the Top 20, and in the process elevated these black-clad outsiders into a mainstream proposition with the potential for an even bigger future.

CREEPER had previously earned Best British Newcomer at the Kerrang! Awards, Best New Band at the Metal Hammer Golden God Awards, and Best British Newcomer in the Rock Sound readers’ poll.

Now CREEPER put the finishing touches on the year by sharing their take on The Pogues’ Christmas classic ‘Fairytale of New York’. It’s a faithful adaptation which adds some raw CREEPER energy to the original, as Will Gould and Hannah Greenwood add some of their own flourishes to their reprisal of Shane MacGowan and Kirstie MacColl’s duet.

‘Fairytale of New York’ will feature on the band’s new ‘Christmas’ EP which will be released on December 8^th. It will also feature brand new original song ‘Same Time Next Year?’ which contrasts the dark romance of Gould’s festive-themed lyrics with a towering holler-along hook. The EP closes with a stripped-back version of ‘Blue Christmas’, the enduring seasonal favourite that was made famous by Elvis Presley.

Of the ‘Christmas’ EP Gould comments, “Ever since we were kids ‘Fairytale of New York’ has always been our favourite Christmas song. Shane MacGowan and Kirsty MacColl trading insults in the lyrics and the overall sad tone of the song always appealed to us – we’ve wanted to cover it for some time. Alongside this we covered ‘Blue Christmas’ and our own original Christmas song too. The three songs form something of a miserable Christmas EP. We are really pleased by how it all came out and hope our fans will be too. “

This weekend sees CREEPER embark upon the ‘Theatre of Fear’ tour which will take their theatrical presentation to a whole new live level. The dates are:

The commitment of the CREEPER cult fanbase can be further demonstrated with yesterday’s release of the book ‘Whatever Happened To James Scythe?’ which was published by 404 Ink. Billed as ‘A report for the Ombudsmen of the Preternatural’, the book reopens the case of the mysterious disappearance of the private investigator who has become a central part of the CREEPER  journey so far.

Code Orange’s Roadrunner Records debut ‘Forever’ has been ranked in Rolling Stone Magazines top 50 albums of 2017.

Flint, MI firebrands, KING 810 have announced a UK headline tour for February 2018.

The concept for the Legacy Of The Beast World Tour was inspired by Maiden’s mobile game and comic book of the same name and the stage set design will feature a number of different but interlocking “worlds” with a set list covering a large selection of Eighties material with a handful of surprises from later albums to add diversity.

Maiden manager Rod Smallwood explains further, “As our fans know, we’ve been following a particular touring cycle ever since Bruce and Adrian re-joined Maiden at the start of the millennium, alternating new album tours with “History/Hits” tours. We enjoy working this way for many reasons, not least because it gives the band a chance to play both new material and the older favourites which we know fans like to hear. It keeps things fresh, not just for the fans but for the band too. “For this History/Hits tour we decided to base the theme around the Legacy Of The Beast name, which suits our purposes perfectly by giving us scope to get creative and have some fun, especially with Eddie! I don’t want to give too much away at the moment but we’re working on a number of different stage sets, all in keeping with the Maiden tradition and we hope to give our fans a fantastic experience when they come to see this very special show.”

Killswitch Engage will be Maiden’s Special Guest on headline European shows from May 26 to July 1 inclusive, and in the UK from July 31 to Aug 10 inclusive. Guests on other shows are currently being finalized and will be announced soon.

Modern US heavy hitters TRIVIUM are excited to announce their return to the UK and Europe in Spring 2018. This will be the Florida band’s first visit since the October release of their blistering eighth album, ‘The Sin and The Sentence’.

Presented by Metal Hammer, ‘The Sin and The Sentence Tour’ kicks off in Koln on March 11, and piledrives across Europe, wrapping up in the UK on April 21 at London’s O2 Academy Brixton. TRIVIUM will be joined by special guests CODE ORANGE (UK only), POWER TRIP (all dates) and VENOM PRISON (all dates).

Uncompromising Pittsburgh natives CODE ORANGE continue their meteoric rise, recently gracing the front covers of both Kerrang! and Revolver magazines. The no-holds-barred band have been converting new fans across North America this Summer, in support of ground-breaking current album, ‘Forever’. The group will play directly before TRIVIUM each night in the UK.

Texan thrash band POWER TRIP are sure to be performing choice cuts from their widely praised, second album, ‘Nightmare Logic’. POWER TRIP tell us, “We’re honoured to come to Europe for our fifth time, especially with such a massive band as TRIVIUM. We’re excited to watch and learn from TRIVIUM and hang out with our mates in VENOM PRISON. The end of the tour has CODE ORANGE joining the package; it’ll be good to play with those lunatics again. That’s it. That’s all. Don’t fuck up and miss this tour.”

Hardcore death metal five-piece VENOM PRISON will open proceedings each night. The hotly-tipped UK act have had a whirlwind twelve months since putting out debut full-length ‘Animus’, including winning a Metal Hammer Golden God Award for “Best Newcomer”. VENOM PRISON enthuse, “TRIVIUM have been at the forefront of heavy music for over a decade and being asked to join such an incredible line up is an honour.
