JOIN ‘THE CALLOUS HEARTS’. CREEPER ANNOUNCE DETAILS OF THEIR FORTHCOMING EP!

Posted on July 13, 2015

Southampton goth-punks CREEPER have enjoyed a phenomenal rise since their debut sold-out hometown show at The Joiners last August. Having subsequently blasted into London with a rammed set at The Old Blue Last, they then hit the road for their first full tour as guests to Funeral for a Friend. Within a year, they’d signed a recording contract with Roadrunner Records UK and played their inaugural major festival at Download.

The quintet will release their first Roadrunner Records EP ‘The Callous Heart’ on September 18th which will be previewed by a special EP release show at The Old Blue Last on September 15th.

Produced by Neil Kennedy at The Ranch, ‘The Callous Heart’ builds upon the visceral blend of sweeping energy and crushing dynamics that powered their self-released debut EP. ‘The Callous Heart’ still reflects their roots – The Misfits, Alkaline Trio, The Damned – but their wider influences, from the doomed romanticism of Nick Cave to the crunch of Metallica and the flamboyance of Roxy Music and David Bowie, seep into their sound. It’s an antidote to the current trend of no-frills punk and hardcore.

The EP will be available on digital and 12" vinyl formats, with the vinyl bundled with a brand new t-shirt design. Pre-orders are now open at iTunes and at the Roadrunner Records UK store for the vinyl version.

‘The Callous Heart’ EP has already been previewed with a video for ‘Lie Awake’ which is the opening instalment of a two-part story of life, love and obsession to be continued in later videos. The track is available as an instant grat download for fans who pre-order any format of the EP, as will ‘The Honeymoon Suite’, which will be available from August 3rd.

‘The Callous Heart’ EP tracklisting is as follows:

Black Cloud
The Honeymoon Suite
Allergies
Lie Awake
Henley’s Ghost

Vocalist Will Gould and guitarist Ian Miles formed CREEPER from the fading embers of cult hardcore favourites Our Time Down Here. The line-up was completed with the addition of former Hang The Bastard guitarist Sina Nemati as well as bassist Sean Scott and drummer Dan Bratton.
