THE DEVIL WEARS PRADA // MIKE HRANICA RELEASES NEW BOOK!

Posted on November 4, 2013

Mike Hranica, frontman of metal titans The Devil Wears Prada, has announced the release of his brand new book, Home for Grave, a fictional story inspired by the song “Home For Grave” off the band’s latest record 8:18. Hranica revealed the news in an exclusive Q&A with Billboard, discussing the tragedy of routine in everyday life and the inspiration behind his new literary work. Home for Grave tells the tale of Ian Mitchells and his journey from birth to death, exploring the empty existence of the normal man. A limited 1,818 copies of Home for Grave are available now at www.mikehranica.com

Long acclaimed as one of the most potent and provocative bands in modern American metal, The Devil Wears Prada have made a massive leap forward with the stunning 8:18. The album – executive produced by Killswitch Engage’s Adam Dutkiewicz and produced by the band along with producer/engineer Matt Goldman (Underoath, The Chariot) – sees the band driving their relentless sonic approach with more might than ever before, giving extreme power to frontman Mike Hranica’s grim, emotional lyricism. Revolver touted the collection exclaiming, “8:18 is definitely bleak, harrowing, and f*cking heavy,” while Rolling Stone praised the track ‘Martyrs’ as “an apocalyptic riff.” “The melodic metal riffs could please the ears of any heavy music fan,” applauded A.V. Club while Alternative Press lauded the albums vocals stating, “Mike Hranica’s voice is as gut-wrenchingly brutal as ever.”
