ROADRUNNER RECORDS SIGN UK CHAOS MERCHANTS – MARMOZETS!

Posted on October 15, 2013

Roadrunner Records, the home to the biggest metal bands on the planet including Slipknot, Trivium, Down, Kverletak,- are pleased to announce that they have signed UK chaos merchants, Marmozets.

The five-piece from Bingley have been cutting their teeth since 2011 having played venues up and down the UK and toured relentlessly since their school duties were over. With an average age of 18 the band play well beyond their years and create havoc by ending their sets playing in the crowd most nights.

The band has toured with the likes of Young Guns, Funeral For A Friend, Gallows and many others. Each time they play as though they’re headlining themselves, getting into the faces of anyone that get’s in their way and spending more time on top of the crowd than they do on stage.

Marmozets have recently completed their first ever headline tour of the UK packing out venues off their own back and proving the hard work is about to pay off. With the reputation of Roadrunner Records backing them and one of the most highly anticipated debut albums in the works, 2014 is set to be the bands biggest yet.

Before the band head into the studio to lay down the body of what’s to make up their debut album they have announced one final release off their own back. Returning to the able hands of producer Larry Hibbit, the man at the helm of the hugely popular single ‘Born Young and Free’, he and the band have worked together to create ‘Move Shake Hide’ (LINK); their most refined and articulate single to date, out on 18th November. The second the track starts visions of sweat, clenched fists, and a pit full of movers and shakers immediately come to mind and you know this song is going to be massive before it even starts.

Previous single ‘Born Young and Free’ was highly praised in the media and had radio support from BBC’s Daniel P Carter, Huw Stephens and Zane Lowe, as well as regular plays on Kerrang Radio the XFM Rock Show. Based on the strength of ‘Move Shake Hide’, it’s clear that all this love and support for the band from media, radio, and most importantly the fans, will keep growing and growing.

The chaos still lives on “Move, Shake, Hide” but it’s being tamed with the precision shredding of Jack Bottomley and Sam Macintyre working as a well greased machine and the vocals of Becca Macintyre pierce the meandering movements of the song proving she’s ready to become one of the most exciting frontwomen in the world.

Keep your eyes peeled for a video for “Move, Shake, Hide” and further news on the bands debut album and further announcements from Roadrunner Records.
