We caught up with the band recently to ask them about the first single from the album, titled ‘Addictive’ and each of them had different ideas about what the song means for them personally. Check out that video below:

There have been reviews of the album popping up online since it was announced and you can check out some of those reviews below:

The production on this album is clear, with some excellent mixing on the bass and vocals in particular. It really goes to show what good being on a major label and having an excellent producer can do to help a band; these factors help accent the hectic, teenage-esque nature of the album.

This album is a quick, exhilarating, beast of an album. My favourite song from the album has to be “I Don’t Wanna Go Out”, I listened to that song literally 25 times in a row before it got dull. This is an excellent album but it is just not quite as good as “We Are The Royal” not quite as energetic, not quite as infectious or funny, but it might be impossible to have an album better on those three aspects than “We Are The Royal”. – Metal Temple

Now they are back with the sequel “Save the Nation” that actually maintains the same high class. In fact, I think that it is very often the sequel is not on par with the debut as bands often have more pressure and less time. However, Royal Republic really found the right formula again and offers a great album like the debut with the witty lyrics and great deal of energy.

And the hits are again here with which is obviously important for the band to reach out in radio. First single “Addicted” is really awesome, but other tracks like “Sailing Man” and the title track “Save the Nation” is of the same high class. – Melodic

Together they keep that bright rock ’n’ roll flame burning with Save the Nation, adding many new layers of colour, atmosphere and bravado to the mix, with the end result being what is expected to be one of 2012’s most exciting and memorable rock albums. Showing no signs of slowing down, Royal Republic will embark on yet another trek around the globe, spreading the gospel that is Save the Nation. The new kings of rock ’n’ roll know just how to please their ever-growing fan base, and will surely be adding to the brood with their second offering. – Vulture Magazine
