DELAIN’S NEW ALBUM ‘WE ARE THE OTHERS’ OUT TODAY!

Posted on June 4, 2012

DELAIN
‘s new album ‘We Are The Others‘ is out today and just in case you need convincing of it’s awesomeness, we have copied and pasted some extracts from reviews below, to give you an idea of what others think:

Highlights of the record are ‘Milk and Honey’, ‘Hit Me With Your Best Shot’ and ‘Get The Devil Out Of Me’ just to name a few. The truth is there are no weak tracks on the album and the quality of the record is fantastic. Their style of music is probably an acquired taste, but once you get it, you really get it.

Keep an eye out for Delain, because ‘We Are The Others’ is their third and best album. They improve album by album, so if they carry on like this, we certainly have a treat in store for us.

The most striking track on this album is the track ‘Milk and Honey’ with a slow pop intro, with a fast blaring industrial beat following it, almost trance like. The slow soulful vocals are similar to Lzzy Hale from Halestormbut more operatic.

The track ‘Where Is The Blood’ features a guest appearance with Burton C. Bell from Fear Factory. The duo creates a wonderful gothic piece which highlights these two talented vocalists subtly but with ease. Singing about a break up, this track doesn’t sound soppy in the slightest. With the hefty growl of Burton, a deep and decadent voice adds this heavy metal impact to the song.

‘Are You Done With Me’ and ‘Get The Devil Out Of Me’ are two other tracks that stand out in this album, because of their energy and explosive riffs. But there isn’t a weak point in the entire 12 track album.

Every song on the album holds its ground and we found it difficult to pick out a stand out track, but that being said, the songWhere is The Blood gives us a cheeky guest appearance from Burton C. Bellfrom Fear Factory, which added to the song about a break up (don’t worry, not in a soppy way).

Up next ‘Where Is The Blood’ has a guest vocal appearance from Burton C Bell of Fear Factory and the joint vocal is executed in perfect metal dueling style, ‘Generation Me’ and ‘Babylon’ continue onwards in their ‘Phantom of the Opera-esque’ way whilst ‘Are You Done With Me’ keeps the hooky choral arrangements flowing and the well crafted song arrangements are continuous with ‘Get The Devil Out Of Me’ and album closer ‘Not Enough’.
