HALESTORM’S NEW EP REVIEWED BY CACKBLABBATH…

Posted on February 7, 2012

Our friends over at CackBlabbath have reviewed the new HALESTORM EP release and you can read a bit of what they had to say below:

The opening track goes straight for the jugular and will drain you dry of all of your life force as you bang your head for all you’re worth, neatly setting the scene for the rest of the EP. The music is in the classic rock vein but it’s not afraid to overstep the boundaries into other realms, it’s a mix that offers a surprising amount of variety, considering there are just 5 tracks on the EP.

That said, 5 tracks are nowhere near enough. This EP left me wanting more, a LOT more in fact, it’s just that damned good. Vocally, this is possibly one of the finest female vocal performances I’ve heard. She has awesome power, but when reigned in the clean vocals are as soulful and pure. Just wow..

I was absolutely blown away by this EP right from the off, it is SERIOUSLY good. In fact I suspect I’ll be playing this EP to death, then I’ll resurrect it, just to play it to death again. If you don’t go out and buy this, then Mz Hyde will come to your house while you sleep and tear you limb from limb and, in all probability, write a song about how much she enjoyed it…. you have been warned!
