DREAM THEATER, MASTODON AND MEGADETH NOMINATED FOR BEST HARD ROCK / METAL GRAMMY PERFORMANCE!
Posted on December 1, 2011The nominees have been announced for the 54th annual Grammy Awards and Roadrunner Records has not one but THREE bands announced as nominees. The bands have been nominated for the newly formed Best Hard Rock/Metal Performance category and they include MASTODON, MEGADETH and DREAM THEATER.
MEGADETH have been nominated for the track ‘Public Enemy No. 1’, which is the first single from their new album TH1RT3EN.
MASTODON’s nomination is for the single second single from their new album ‘The Hunter‘, titled ‘Curl of the Burl’.
DREAM THEATER have received the very first nomination in their 26-year career for the song ‘On the Backs of Angels’. The track comes from their new album released in September titled, ‘A Dramatic Turn of Events’.
The Grammy Awards will air live on CBS on the 12th of Feb. We’ll find out UK broadcast options closer to the time and update this information with a news post. Watch this space for more Grammys news!
