SLIPKNOT and STONE SOUR frontman, COREY TAYLOR, dressed up as Elvis Presley and won over the crowd during his poolside concert on Friday the 5th of August at the Hard Rock Hotel in Las Vegas, Nevada.
According to the Las Vegas Sun, Taylor performed a series of weird and wonderful covers, including “Jessie’s Girl” by RICK SPRINGFIELD, GREEN DAY’s “Basket Case”, “Just What I Needed” by THE CARS, “About a Girl” by NIRVANA, FLOCK OF SEAGULLS’ “I Ran”, LITA FORD’s “Kiss Me Deadly”, BON JOVI’s “Livin’ on a Prayer”, TOM PETTY’s “Stop Draggin’ My Heart Around” (featuring members of HALESTORM), ALICE IN CHAINS’ “We Die Young” and GUNS N’ ROSES’ “Mr. Brownstone”.
“Everyone has been asking if I was going to play my stuff tonight. No way! I’m off the clock tonight!” joked Corey. He also had some good news for STONE SOUR fans:
“There’s always a chance of a solo album. But the great thing about a solo album is that you do it on your own time. I’ll always have enough material that I can make a solo album in the future, but there’s still so much stuff that I want to do right now that it’s really my last priority. STONE SOUR is going really good. It’s an exciting time for STONE SOUR. I’d rather focus on the things that make the most sense.”
