STAIND’S NOT AGAIN RELEASED AS DIGITAL SINGLE ON 14 AUGUST – PLUS 5 STAR REVIEW!

Posted on July 22, 2011

The first single from STAIND’s upcoming album, Not Again, will be released as a digital single on the 14th of August. The artwork for the single can be seen in the picture to the left of this article. Fans of the band can read an excellent review of the track on ARTISTdirect by following this LINK – the review touches upon the heavy sound of the new material and gave the single a cracking 5 out of 5:

“…STAIND has not only captured that proverbial lightning in a bottle, but they’ve emerged with a record that’s even heavier than their classic first two offerings, Tormented and Dysfunction. It’s heavier because the band have evolved so much and have attacked the new material with years of road and studio experience—not to mention progressed songwriting.

Not Again” is going to ravage heavy music like a tornado. Intricate, infectious guitars from Mike Mushok spin out into an ominous bass chug from Johnny “Old School” April. Mushok’s pummeling staccato riff on the refrain roars brutally, while Lewis’s chorus stands alongside the band’s best hooks. Then there’s Mushok’s solo. It drops from a spacey blues-style break into face-ripping shredding, illuminating just how much of a virtuoso he really is. He’s one of the best guitarists and the planet, and this record further cements his place at the top.”
