MYLES KENNEDY: “ALTER BRIDGE RESTORED MY FAITH…” CHECK OUT THE BAND’S AMAZING STORY IN THIS WEEK’S KERRANG!

Posted on May 11, 2011

It’s been a long road for ALTER BRIDGE and in their cover feature interview in this weeks Kerrang! Magazine, voclaist Myles Kennedy and guitarist Mark Tremonti tell the mag about their different paths to where they are now.

Pre Alter Bridge, Myles was struggling to make it as a musician, giving up to become a guitar teacher. “I was bummed out, disollusioned with the music industry and broken hearted” he tells the mag, whilst Mark was suffering with the negative aspects of the exact opposite- the incredible success of former band Creed. Whilst acknowledging the enormous success and the good times, he comments the ride “...wasn’t anything like I thought it would be, it was lot’s of years of being miserable and stressed out constantly“.

The coming together of Alter Bridge seems to be just the tonic Myles, Mark and Mark’s former Creed band-mates Scott Phillips and Brian Marshall needed. “Alter Bridge restored my faith” states Myles Kennedy and reading the full, fanstastic feature, it’s not hard to see why.
