MACHINE HEAD’S ROBB FLYNN: THIS RECORD SEEMS TO BE SYMBOLIZING MUSIC AS RELIGION

Posted on May 17, 2011

MACHINE HEAD have posted another update from the studio over at their Official Website and you can check it out NOW in the player below. This second episode in a series the band have begun posting focuses on drummer Dave McClain’s drum tracking in the studio with front-man Robb Flynn, with both men talking about the album as it comes together.

“I wasn’t really raised with religion,” comments Robb, “But that’s what this album seems to be symbolising for me- music as religion. Music carried me through the darkest chapters..the highest highs and everything inbetween.”

“I feel we got this amazing record thet gives me the same feelin’ as when we were doing ‘Through The Ashes…’ and ‘The Blackening‘,” adds Dave, “It just feels good. It’s completely fromt he heart. It’s amazing…It’s metal.”

The album is scheduled for release later this year. More news as and when we have it!
