WEDNESDAY 13 POSTS AUCTIONS IN AID OF JAPAN EARTHQUAKE RELIEF

Posted on April 4, 2011

MURDERDOLLS frontman Wednesday 13 has begun launching a series of auctions to raise money for Save The Children’s efforts in Japan following the recent devestating earthquake. Murderdolls were on tour in Japan when the earthquake stuck.

That was the scariest day of my life without a doubt.” he recalls, “It’s almost beyond words to explain what we felt and witnessed. Japan is my favorite country to visit, tour and I’m just truly, truly saddened by this tragedy.”

To raise cash, Wednesday will put up five auctions for custom-made canvas prints (20″ x 32″). Each canvas print will be hand-signed, numbered and will contain a songtitle on the back. Check out the first of the auctions at this location.

Before the quake, Wednesday was working on a a special remix CD, ‘Re-animated’, which takes five songs from his “Skeletons” CD and gives them a new life. Blabbermouth reports that a portion of all sales from the first month of release will be donated to the American Red Cross. The American Red Cross is currently supporting and advising the Japanese Red Cross, which continues to assist the government in its response.
