DEVILDRIVER, PERIPHERY, MURDERDOLLS AND COREY TAYLOR IN THIS MONTHS ROCK SOUND

Posted on February 3, 2011

Pick up this weeks Rock Sound for an awesome Q&A session with DEVILDRIVER front man Dez Fafara where he talks about being in a ‘real dark place‘ when working on forthcoming album Beast, which receives a glowing 8/10 review in the mag. “Ruthelessly combining technical brutality and pure fucking class,” they write, “Devildriver have finally come of age…

Also in this months issue is a feature on the new phenomenon of ‘djent’, a movement spearheaded by our very own PERIPHERY. The mag talk to guitarist Misha ‘Bulb’ Mansoor about the movement and ethos as they embark on their current UK tour in support of album Periphery.

Continuing his regular column, COREY TAYLOR muses eternal question of ‘who am I and why’? “I am the bastard son of two teenagers who had no plans of a life together.” he begins, as he walks us through his life, his strengths and weaknesses before throwing the question back at us. “I am a mouth with the worlds ears under my tongue…but I cannot stop screaming. I am a fake and a cheat and a hero and a saint…” Pick it up and check it out. An enlightening read, as ever.

And if all that wasn’t enough in itself, The Last Word in the issue goes to MURDERDOLLS frontman Wednesday 13 in the the mags regular feature.

The March issue is on newsagent shelves now.
