As one of the founding members of Black Sabbath, a band credited with being the founders of Heavy Metal, it was with interest that we read Ozzy Osbourne’s top metal picks for 2010 over at Yahoo and it was good to see some Roadrunner artists make it into his top 10.
First up came Black Label Society’s ‘Order Of The Black’, coming in at number 2. Whilst the skeptical might say he’s just giving a nod to his old guitarist Zakk Wylde, who stood by his side for over 20 years, Ozzy isn’t one to give credit where it isn’t due!
He also gives a mention to Slash’s self titled solo debut. This is an album Ozzy actually contributed to, singing vocals on the track ‘Crucify The Dead’, but you only have to look the praise heaped on the album from fans, critics and contemporaries over the year and the Best Album gong from the Classic Rock Awards to realise Ozzy’s mention stems from his appreciation of an exceptional aural contribution to 2010!
Next on his list was this years offering from Korn
