OPETH TO BEGIN WORK ON NEW ALBUM IN JANUARY

Posted on December 4, 2010

OPETH have announced in a post on their Official Website that they will start the recording of their 10th studio album on January 31st, 2011.

The band has picked the legendary Atlantis studios (ex Metronome studios) in Stockholm and will once again work with Jens Bogren on engineering. Mixing duties will be handled by Steven Wilson (Porcupine Tree) who was nominated for a Grammy Award earlier this week for Best Surround Sound album for his mixing duties on Porcupine Tree’s The Incident. The album is pencilled for a possible release in the Autumn of 2011. Stay tuned for more information as the guys begin work on their forthcoming album…
