WITHIN TEMPTATION RESCHEDULE UK TOUR
Posted on November 27, 2010Sharon den Adel, WITHIN TEMPTATION’S talented vocalist, has exclusively revealed on the band’s website the joyful news that she and long time partner Robert Westerholt (guitar) are expecting a baby! At the same time, she apologizes to fans that this means their tour dates for Spring 2011 have been re-scheduled for Autumn 2011. She admits: ”To be honest, this was not planned, but we are very happy about this surprise! Our children are an enrichment of our lives.” Head HERE to read her statement in full.
In other happy news, Within Temptation keyboardist Martijn and his girlfriend welcomed daughter Isis Marit Spierenburg into the world on November 15. Martijn has posted a couple of photos on the website at this location.
Within Temptation are very honoured that the clamour by fans for tickets has meant that the dates in London, Paris, Vienna, and Copenhagen have already been upgraded to bigger venues. Due to this strong demand, the band are pleased to announce 12 additional shows to the re-scheduled dates across the European tour. The tour now kicks off on September 21st and will also see the band visit Portugal and the Czech Republic.
Tickets purchased for the original dates will remain valid for all rescheduled dates and in the UK the full run of shows is now as follows:
08-11-2011 – BIRMINGHAM (UK) – O2 Academy (additional show)
09-11-2011 – MANCHESTER (UK) – Academy (additional show)
10-11-2011 – GLASGOW (UK) – Barrowlands (additional show)
11-11-2011 – LONDON (UK) – O2 Academy Brixton (moved from 30-03-2011, original venue: O2 Shepherds Bush Empire)
Within Temptation are currently in the studio finalizing their long awaited fifth studio album with producer Daniel Gibson. Titled “The Unforgiving”, this is the band’s first concept album and is based on a comic book story written by script writer Steven O’Connell (BloodRayne & Dark 48). The band asked comic artist Romano Molenaar (Witchblade,Darkness and X-men) to draw the characters and scenery of “The Unforgiving”.
The album is set for release in late March 2011.
