COREY TAYLOR ON AUDIO SECRECY, THE WALL OF DANCE AND RICKROLLING CHICAGO

Posted on November 11, 2010

STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor had a chat recently with entertainment website Female First and they discussed Corey’s recent Rickrolling incident on a radio station in Chicago (“…they haven’t asked me back by the way, that’s okay though- I’ll just go to the rival station!”), performing in drag for Halloween (“…my wife did my make-up so I looked properly gorgeous…“) and the new gig sensation ‘Wall Of Dance’ (“…instead of running towards each other, they kind of sashay. It’s an interesting sociological experiment.”). He also talks about new album Audio Secrecy:

…when people hear it for the first time, it is kind of jarring because it’s such a different type of album and that’s what we were pushing for. We wanted to make a statement and something above and beyond what we’ve done before.

The good thing is that it’s a sticky album. You listen to it once and you want to listen to it a second time, and then you listen to it for a week and you can be like “Oh my gosh, I haven’t put the album down for a week!” and that should turn into a month… It’s great. It’s an addictive album and that’s something I definitely wanted.”
