If you pick up a copy of this weeks KERRANG magazine, you will see that STONE SOUR frontman Corey Taylor is adorning the cover said mag with Avenged Sevenfold frontman M. Shadows.

Kerrang! spoke to the guys when they were touring together on the Rockstar Energy Drink Uproar tour over in the USA and amongst the topics covered in the 6 page feature was the recent losses encountered by the guys in both bands with friends and bandmates The Rev and Paul Gray passing away in the past 12 months.

“So many people put so much negativity on our genre, but if they had any idea how fucking close we are, and how we close ranks when something like this happens, they’d be blown away.” says Corey, “I’d love to see pop people do that, but they’d fucking eat each other before they’d help each other out.”

He also acknowledges not only the way the fan’s reactions to Paul’s death has helped the painful grieving process, but also the realization that there is a “huge extended family out there that is hurting right along with you…”
