SEE LYNYRD SKYNYRD PERFORM ‘SWEET HOME ALABAMA’!

Posted on August 4, 2010

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers LYNYRD SKYNYRD were the featured artists on A&E’s Private Sessions program this past weekend. For those who may have missed the legendary band perform an extended version of their world renowned hit “Free Bird” or their tourmate Bret Michaels stopping by the studio to talk about their time together on the road, we’ve found a Sessions version of another Skynyrd classic for your viewing enjoyment.

Go RIGHT HERE to see the band run through “Sweet Home Alabama” as part of their performance on the program.

If you enjoy the clip, it may be worth you picking up the band’s latest release- the live DVD/CD set LIVE FROM FREEDOM HALL, which is in stores now. The set comprises both the audio and video of their performance at Freedom Hall, Louisville, Kentucky on 15th June 2007. The show features some of the classic band’s best-known tracks. The recorded performance is also the last to feature founding member/keyboardist Billy Powell and longtime bassist, Ean Evans who sadly passed away in 2009, during the recording of the band’s last studio album, ‘God & Guns’.

Both the aforementioned releases are available now. Pick them up at the links below:
