Young Minds is the UK’s only national charity committed to improving the mental health and emotional well-being of all children and young people here in the UK and they were at this years Kerrang Awards talking to some of the artists at the event about how they had faced uncertain times and / or depression in their lives and how they battled through to the other side.
Even now as they go through their current tough times, music is helping MADINA LAKE, as it always has, and Corey Taylor (SLIPKNOT / STONE SOUR) gives advice to young people who are finding things hard.
“Never give up,” says Taylor, “…Events are temporary…If you can get through a day, you can get through 2. If you can get through 2 you can get through 4. If you can get through 4, you can get through a week…Take care of yourself and love yourself, because if you cant love yourself, it’s just a very dark place and it took me a long time to figure that out…”
