Another week has paased and so it’s time for the weekly roundup!!

THE DOWNLOAD EXTRAVAGANZA CONTINUED!
We continued our series of updates from behind the scenes at the Download festival, catching up with Black Stone Cherry, Down, DevilDriver, DragonForce and Trivium. It’s been one hell of a ride! Nowhere else have you been able to be with Roadrunner bands on stage or chilling in their dressing rooms. Only RR had that access! DEVILDRIVER RELEASE NEW ALBUM; TRACK BY TRACK RUN DOWN
At the start of the week, those heavy metal heavy weights DevilDriver released their new album ‘Pray for Villains’. Everyone has been hailing the album one of the best this year and the bands best to date and man, we cannot argue with that- it’s spot on! Crushing album from the guys! We chatted to Dez and Jeff about the album when they were chillin in Oxford and you can check out their track by track on the site now. (Click for more)

PORCUPINE TREE RELEASE ALBUM SAMPLE
Another band everyone is excited to hear new material from is Porcupine Tree. Last album Fear of a Planet saw them pick up a Classic Rock Award and get nominated for a Grammy. What can they come up with to beat such a phenominal album? Can they possiby deliver?? Well this week the band released a sample of the opening 55 minute track of upcoming album The Incident. LYNYRD SKYNYRD RELEASE A NEW TRACK
It’s not all about Sweet Home Alabama you know. These guys have gone to hell and back and still they keep writing and rockin’. And damn it they still remain so positive and upbeat about everything. Many a man would have given up by now after all they have been through, but not these guys. New album God & Guns is a stonker and the opening track from the album ‘Still Unbroken’was loaded Friday for you to download- but hurry, as it will disapear from 4pm on Monday 20th. STEADLUR IN LONDON; WHAT’S ON YOUR IPOD
It’s a Steadlur duble whammy! Drummer Dallas is this weeks iPod shuffle victim, falling fowl at one point to sharing his ‘pod with brother Philip. We also loaded up the footage from the guys’ first trip into the Capital, vocalist Philip freaking out at being at Marelybone tube station. Not the Houses of Parlaiment. Not Buck Palace. THEORY OF A DEADMAN- NEW SINGLE AND UK TOUR
We’ve lost count of the number of emails in to the site asking when the Theory lads will be coming in to play some shows. Well you can leave us in peace as the guys announced some dates this week- they will be hitting these shores in October!!! They will also release a new single! Get all the detals HERE.

RR UK BLOG UPDATE
We (well, I- Ed.) took the opportunity of using the RR UK Blog for a bit of a rant this week. It’s all a little Nine Inch Nails flavoured (all hail the God of Trent). We do actually leave the office and do none Roadrunner stuff from time to time… (Click for more…)
