Roadrunner Records is thrilled to bag a whole clutch of nominations in this year’s Classic Rock Magazine ‘Roll Of Honour’ 2009 Awards. The categories were announced last night at a media launch in Hard Rock Cafe’s Hard Rock Calling VIP garden in Hyde Park, London. The winners will be presented at the gala ceremony, which takes place Monday 2nd November at the Park Lane Hotel in Central London.
Our two newcomers STEADLUR and THE PARLOR MOB line up in the ‘Best New Band’ category – an award that Roadrunner artists have previously excelled at winning,- with both Black Stone Cherry and Airbourne picking that up particular gong in 2007 and 2008 respectively.
HEAVEN & HELL, DREAM THEATER, BLACK STONE CHERRY and THE PARLOR MOB then all square up to each other in the ‘Album of The Year’ category for their current respective releases (‘The Devil You Know’, ‘Black Clouds & Silver Linings’, ‘Folklore & Superstition’ and ‘And You Were A Crow’).
