The Canadian Academy of Recording Arts and Sciences (CARAS) today announced The 2009 JUNO Awards nominees at a media conference held at Toronto’s Fairmont Royal York Hotel. The Juno’s are Canada’s equivalent to our Brits.
Our very own multi platinum-selling NICKELBACK garnered five JUNO Award nominations including JUNO Fan Choice (presented by Pepsi), Single of the Year, Album of the Year (sponsored by the Canadian Recording Industry Association), Group of the Year and Jack Richardson Producer of the Year (with JOEY MOI for the hits “Gotta Be Somebody” and “Something in Your Mouth” off their sixth album, DARK HORSE). The guys also have the honour of performing at the awards ceremony, which will take place this coming Saturday.
The second single from new album DARK HORSE will be the killer I’D COME FOR YOU, which will be released as a digital single on MARCH 23RD. Watch this space for news of when you will be able to check out the video online first!!
Nickelback will be in the UK on an arena tour this coming May. Tickets are selling FAST so if you want to see what all the fuss is about, you’d best get on grabbing them tix. Dates are as follows:
