LAMB OF GOD VOCALIST AUCTIONS GRAMMY NOMINATION MEDAL FOR CHARITY

Posted on January 19, 2009

LAMB OF GOD vocalist Randy Blythe is auctioning his 2007 Grammy Nomination medallion for charity. Speaking to METAL HAMMER, Randy explains,

“A friend of mine has 2 sons with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy, a fatal disease. He started a foundation, the Stone Circle Of Friends, and I’m auctioning it off to raise money for that. When I heard, the first thing that popped in my mind was what Flava Flav from Public Enemy said “Who the fuck needs a goddamn Grammy anyway?” I didn’t care. This way it’s doing something good.”

You can check out the auction, which kicks off at the end of January HERE. For more information on Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy, check out the MYTONIC DYSTROPHY FOUNDATION website.
