SATYRICON are currently in the UK for some shows to promote current album THE AGE OF NERO, finishing their run tomorrow (26th NOVEMBER) with a sold out show at London’s ULU.

GREG AND MAT FROM KILL HANNAH CHAT ABOUT TOURING AND BUS FIRES…

Check out this recent interview with Greg (Bass) and Mat (Vox) from KILL HANNAH filmed just before they hit the stage at Astoria 2 at the end of last month! Here they talk about how the tour for their latest release has gone for them, focusing mainly on the devastating bus fire that claimed pretty much all of the bands personal effects and could have very easily claimed THEM, which happened just before they landed here in the UK!

PHIL DEMMEL AND JOEY JORDISON CONFIRM SIGNINGS

MACHINE HEAD guitarist (and Jackson Signature Artist!) Phil Demmel will be attending Guitar Guitar, Newcastle on the 11th of DECEMBER 2008.

Phil will be at the store on the day the band play at the Newcastle Metro Arena as support to label mates SLIPKNOT. Phil will be there to sign and meet and greet from 1PM- put that date and time in your diary to be sure not miss out on the chance to meet one of the finest metal guitarists around and the chance to check out his Jackson Signature guitar!!!

If drumming is more your thing, then you should rock up to PMT in Birmingham on the 6th DECEMBER at 3pm where Joey Jordison of SLIPKNOT fame will be meeting, greeting and giving general tips and advice.

If you have not get gotten your tickets for the upcoming tour, then it’s not actually tooo late- you can still get some for the latter half of the tour. Dates as follows…

Actually, it’s not as bad as it sounds. Bruce actually seems a friendly if slightly slobbery fella! He joins Satyr as he updated us from the mainland Euro leg of the SATYRICON tour that hit our shores TODAY!

NICKELBACK TALK TO THE BEEB

NICKELBACK recently sat down with the BBC’s Emma Jones for their enternainment news and chatted about the success of their hit single ‘Rockstar’ and their new album DARK HORSE.

“It definitely showed us how to have a successful video – only be in for six seconds at the end…”

Chad (vocals) jokes about the hit single’s video.

The main focus of the interview is of course their new album, which was released this week (17/11). Produced by Mutt Lange (AC/DC, Def Leppard), it’s one hell of a rocker of a record.

Comments Jones:

“Lange’s stamp is all over Dark Horse – from the vocal harmonies to the multi-layer guitars. It is the most polished record the band, once described as ‘post-grunge ‘, have put out.
The first single, Gotta Be Somebody, is a traditional Nickelback up-tempo ballad, but much of the album is surprisingly heavy…”
