Orc slaying legends, 3 Inches Of Blood are currently on tour with Himsa in the UK. We managed to catch up with the band to get a quick update on the tour so far. 08/12/05 Newport, UK í¢äåäóì NLCA Alright…in a word…COLD! It’s warmer outside rather than in the venue. A band called “Anterior” opened the show and rocked everyone’s balls off! They were amazing, finally an opening band who’s Maiden influence is not demonstrated by butchering the Trooper, these kids could fucking play! I spent the other 2 bands drinking beers and trying to stay warm or at least drinking enough to where I didn’t care how cold it was. Many frozen moments later and countless Stella’s it is time…finally! The crowd was attentive, yet subdued in a way. They warmed up in time or maybe just thawed out, I think I have made enough of a mention as to how cold it was. To my surprise it turned into a heavy metal sweatbox in no time. The kids got into it and we had an awesome time. Highlight’s for sure were definitely Anterior, the killer crowd upfront, and Himsa slayed! Laters, BRIAN – 3IOB
Thursday (December 8) marked the one year anniversary of the death of former PANTERA and DAMAGEPLAN guitarist “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott. Darrell, along with three other people, was viciously gunned down at a club in Ohio.
Dimebag is missed by his fans and by his fellow bands. SEVENDUST‘s Morgan Rose, with singer Lajon Witherspoon by his side, talked to the cameras about what he remembers about the fateful day and said he spoke to Darrell‘s brother and drummer Vinnie Paul immediately after the event went down.
“Yeah, we got off stage and found out right when we got off stage,” Morgan told Ultimate-Guitar.com. “I actually called and actually talked to Vinnie while he was still sitting in the club and they hadn’t even taken Darrell‘s body out yet. He answered the phone, and I was just calling to to see if it was a rumor, and it was happening. We’ve seen Vinnie and we’ve talked to him a lot and we’re just here like millions of other people trying to support him because this is rough times. The holidays are coming up and the anniversary is coming up. And Darrell was really close with us, so that’s the worst thing that ever happened.”

Hey Gang!
The keg has been tapped. Thomas is completely done with the drum tracking and has become an annoyance now.
I finished all the rhythm tracking as of Monday. They came out killer. We used a few different methods on the guitars. First we ran my Ibanez SZ through my Mesa, killer sound. Next we ran a 68 Tele through a Soldano T-50 for the crisp, clean hear every note sound. We also ran DI for back up and re-amping as a safety precaution. Other options ran were an SG, and a JCM 800. The guitar sounds are crushing and my playing isn’t too shabby either – HA.
As I write this Mick is upstairs with Sal working out Bass sounds and they should begin tracking shortly. Brock has still been going in to the city and taking his vocal coaching, and being an annoyance as well, Woot.
We have been video taping everything and I promise some clips soon. There are some new PICTURES on the site from pre-production up till now. I will try and get more of these up soon as well, send flowers…

The Nominees for the 48th Grammy Awards have been announced. And yet again we are proud to announce that we have had a nomination for one of our bands. A certain sense of Deja vu comes over me as i reflect back on last years nominations when Slipklnot – Vermillion was nominated for this same category. Unfortunately, last year the band were robbed (not that we’re biased). This years Nominations for Best Metal Performance The Great Satan Ministry Determined Mudvayne Mein Teil Rammstein What Drives The Weak Shadows Fall Before I Forget Slipknot Good Luck Slipknot may the force be with you.

A YEAR AGO: Dec. 8 marks the one-year anniversary of the murder of “Dimebag” Darrell Abbott. The guitarist of PANTERA/DAMAGEPLAN was shot to death by an enraged fan during a DAMAGEPLAN show in Columbus, Ohio. However, memories of Dimebag continue to burn brightly for friends of the guitarist. Chad Kroeger – frontman, NICKELBACK: “The last time I saw Dime, we were on tour in Dallas. He jumped up on our bus and he’d brought me this little tiny miniature guitar. It almost looked like a ukulele. He goes, ‘I brought you something.’ And I hate when someone gives me a present and I don’t have something to give them back. So, that night, we were both getting pretty sloppy, and I go in the back and I grab my favorite leather jacket. I come out and give it to him and he throws it on. I’m like, ‘There you go. What do you think?’ We were both ecstatic, and I gave him a big old hug. We jumped back into his Escalade, and we’re sitting there, talking for a bit. We were passing this bottle of Jack Daniel’s back and forth. … I tell him I love him and to be careful, and he tells me he loves me and to be careful. I gave him a big old hug and went back to my bus. … That was the last time I saw him, and that’s what I’ll always remember when I think of Dime. I miss him a lot.” So today we in respect we are going to crank up our sound systems and drink JD & coke in celebration of an amazing life. R.I.P. DIMEBAG
