Check out this awesome review, courtesy of our friends at Room Thirteen. A segment of the review reads: “The crowd erupts as the band take to the stage and they waste little time before launching into ‘Babylon’. The sound is excellent and it makes a big difference, Soulfly are for the most part hard, heavy and intense, so to be able to pick out each instrument in the mix just maximises the bands overall effect. ‘Prophecy’ follows and already those towards the back of the crowd are getting sucked in by Soulfly, it’s certainly intense but it’s also infectious and considering this is only the fourth date of the tour they are also incredibly tight musically, god knows what they will be like by the 56th date!” CLICK HERE to read the full review
Most Precious Blood have recently finished their short, but very sweet UK tour. Whilst over here we managed to catch up with the band and find out a more about them. Today we are looking at vocalist Rob Fusco. Name: Robert Anthony Fusco Age: (A youngí¢äå_) 30! Instrument: Vocals [most precious blood] All time favourite record: Unfair question. You may as well ask me who my favourite family member is. Greatest experience on tour: Finding an important piece of my life’s puzzle atop Lion Rock at Piha beach, Auckland, New Zealand. Now the challenge remains as to how and when to fit it in with the rest. Most horrible experience on tour: Being away from home when loved ones die or are sick and in need of you. Most embarrassing moment on stage: I’ll never tell. Do you have any sort of ritual before going on stage?: Not really anymore. My RPMs are high enough now to where all I need to do is change my clothes, plug in my mic and hit it will all I’ve got in me. With which band would you love to tour with?: The Melvins If I couldn’t be a musician, I would work as: A teacher (í¢äå_or maybe an advisor to a rich idiot or something.) Best advice you ever heard: My father, Mark Fusco (Mr. Fusco to the rest of you!), often told me: í¢äåñ1. Hard work pays off. 2. Fences make good neighbours. 3. Never measure success monetarily. If your family are cared for, you have love in your home and you are HAPPY, then you are successful.í¢äå I agree. Which famous person (alive or dead) would you love to spend some time and why?: [people] My Dad, Brother, and Leslie, my girl and soul mate. My Aunt Bert too! I don’t care if they’re not famous. (they are to me.) Basically, my closest loved ones. They’re all I need, and I NEVER take them for granted. LIFE IS TOO FUCKING SHORT.

SOULFLY have posted the following update on their official website. “Just checkin’ in with you all to let everyone know that the tour has been going really, really great so far, ALL the shows have been sold out and the crowds have been in-fuckin-sane!!! Skindred started their run with us last night (January 30th) and although I didn’t make it to the stage to check out their show, I did manage to make it to their soundcheck and they were tight as hell. cheers! Roadrunner Records are pleased to welcome leading Norwegian black metal band SATYRICON into the fold for all territories, excluding North America & Norway. Despite DragonForce being on their stella UK tour, long-haired-legend/guitar god Herman Li caught up with RockSomething for a serious chat about the issues of drinking and soloing on stage. A section of the interview reads as follows… RockSomething: And can you really play that well whilst drunk?! Herman Li: Yeah it doesn’t really make any difference. When you play for one hour and forty-five minutes, you do get thirsty so we fixed beverage-holders and straws to our microphone stands because there wasn’t time between the solos to stop and have a drink. I mean Sam starts three hours before the show and he always plays the same no matter what, but I don’t always drink as a rule. We started doing that in Japan a couple of years ago and we always play pretty much the same anyway! PURE GENIUS! CLICK HERE to read the whole interview. REMEMBER: A few weeks ago the band released their stella debut album on Roadrunner (Inhuman Rampage) CLICK HERE for more information.
