Max Cavalera is set to jam with Nuclear Assault bassist Dan Lilker at the Exit Fest, which happens on July 7 in Novi Sad, Serbia. For more details on the festival head here. In similar news, Corey Taylor and Josh Rand from Stone Sour appeared with Alice In Chains at the Roskilde Festival in Denmark, featuring on the track ‘Again’.

MEGADETH GO FLAT OUT

It has now been confirmed that ‘Symphony Of Destruction‘ will feature in the brand new game Flatout 2, the sequel to the highly successful destruction derby racing game. Flatout 2 is released on June 30th on PC, Xbox360 and PlayStation 2. For more details head over here.

Machine Head’s Dave McClain has written another update in the Machine Head diary detailing where the band are with respect to their new album. Machine Head will join the Sounds Of The Underground tour for a week before hitting the studio in August to record the album. “If I could describe the songs in one word it would have to be ANGRY!!!!!!!! I think the song “Struck A Nerve” from The More Things Change album is sitting back smiling at the new stuff… this is just Fucking Metal!!!!” The album will be produced by Robert Flynn and Mark Keaton, with Colin Richardson again mixing it.

REDEMPTION FOR DOWNLOAD

Redemption TV (Sky channel 368) will be showing the first of four half-hour episodes jammed full of live footage and interviews recorded at this year’s awesome Download Festival next Sunday (June 25th) at 10pm, and will be repeated on the 28th at 10pm, and on the 29th at 1.10am. Also look out for a Download Weekend Special on the 7th-9th of July, where the whole weekend will be dedicated to the festival and the bands that played there. Following their storming set on the main stage at this year’s Download Festival, Stone Sour have unfortunately been forced to postpone their upcoming London show on July 5th due to a scheduling conflict. Lead singer Corey Taylor stated, “We had such an incredible time at Download this year and feel terrible about having to miss our upcoming London show. We look forward to seeing all of our UK fans and making it up to them this Fall!” The band’s new album, ‘Come What(ever) May’, which is released on 31st July, comes off the back of over 55,000 UK sales of their eponymous 2003 debut album and gold status (over 500K) in the USA. The new album’s first U.S. single, ‘Through Glass’, is currently exploding at rock radio.
