Dragonforce’s rhythm virtuoso Dave Mackintosh has taken time out of his hectic schedule to update us on the bands current UK tour once again. LEEDS, 01/12/06 ooh mama! nursing a guiness and jack d hangover, a bastard behind the eyes, as we pull into Leeds,(not quite sure why I was up at that time, but meh). And to further my confusion and suffering, when I walk into the hall (more like strategically escorted) I’m confronted by 50 students all sat down eating there! bizarre! i seem to recall a slight set change for leeds (just to keep us on our toes) but I cant remember, anyone? Just as we suspected, the fans were awesome, chanting our songs for like 2 hours before the doors opened, every time I was making a cup of tea outside the dressing room, (metal eh?) I could hear them outside lol! I had the honor and sheer amazement of witnessing the biggest circle pit ever!!! a stunning sight, thanks leeds. This time round, I had the chance to wander around the town (once we managed to navigate our way out of the vastness that is leeds university, cool place, interesting sights. Thanks leeds! High point of the day: ridding my system of booze, low point: administering wine back in. quote of the day: ya grandad is ya dads mum. If you have any pictures from the tour, why not send them in? If they’re good enough we’ll post them up with a credit. You may even get a cheeky treat in the post. SEND A PIC
Those Alaskan crazy cats, 36 CRAZYFISTS just can’t get enough of the UK. After slaying all-comers on their joint headline tour with Atreyu just a few months back, including a triumphant appearance at London’s Brixton Academy, our Alaskan chums have decided to go back to basics and play a whole month’s worth of smaller shows, the length and breadth of the UK. While most bands of their stature play just 4 or 5 major venues, this time it’s different. The band wanted to hit places they’ve never been before, so they’ve booked the road trip to end all road trips. We all know DragonForce are awesome guys, but helping someone propose on stage? Sam Totman, DragonForce guitarist, was there to lend a hand to one of their fans Richard Whyte, who wanted to propose to his girlfriend Elaine Riddell. At their show at the Barrowlands, Glasgow, Richard jumped onstage to propose to Elaine (who obviously said yes!), and then the happy couple were lucky enough to go backstage after the show to celebrate with the guys!! That takes some beating eh? SOURCE: BLABBERMOUTH

Dragonforce’s rhythm virtuoso Dave Mackintosh has taken time out of his hectic schedule to update us on the bands current UK tour once again. SOUTHAMPTON 30/12/06 HOLY FUCK!!! the rooms we’re playing are getting bigger and bigger! sold out again, by the time I haul my ass out of bed and enter the venue, the stage/rig/lights and backline are all up and running, what an awesome crew! (mind you, I got out of bed at around 3-4 pm). The trampoline thing got off to a flying start, 2 pretty girls (one of which was particularly “buxom”). So they go on, start the bouncing, crowd goes fecking nuts, then the “buxom” ladies pistols made a run for it almost immediately, meanwhile we’re all watching from stage left, we all fucking pissed ourselves, she sort of gave up trying to capture the beasts, so turned around flashed her gash, then fucked off!!! What a start to this night eh? You don’t get that in the morning on the way to the office! So again, with intro rolling, I head up to my”office” the boys all man their stations, and the fans are absolutely positively going berzerk, even before the count in!!! Mosh pits, Circle pits and generally all manner of fun violence ensue (spelling anyone?) What a night, I don’t recall a lot after that really, but we all had fun. high point: I bought some splendid jeans. Low point: My lower half now resembles that of a chicken. quote of the day: “a hand in ya bush is worth a slap in the face”
Trivium are currently getting amongst the UK on their final leg of their Iron Maiden European tour. Singer Matt Heafy has taken a few minutes out of his hectic schedule to let us know how things are going. “Greetings and Happy Holidays! Matt here in Cardiff, good to (sorta-be-back) home in the U.K., Dublin and Scotland Fuck Yeaaauuuhhh. The Iron Maiden support tour has been a fantastic experience and great opportunity completely beyond all our expectations, a totally sold out arena tour 12-17 thousand people strong a night at the Maiden shows, with crowds who have been so totally fucking cool to us so we’ve been damn happy about that and thankful. And hell, who could complain about being able to watch one of the greatest live bands of all time every night? Like I said before Maiden are the masters of Power and Melody – incredible. So anywho, there have been plenty of highlights on this tour: (of course every single night has been incredible) standouts include Helsinki, Sweden, Norway, Holland, France, Spain, Italy, Germany and last night’s show in Cologne a off date Trivium headliner show (fucking sickest pits and head bangers of the tour!!) but like I said, ALL the shows have rocked, those just had some – extra madness. We wrap with Iron Maiden on December 23rd then we head right back to the states for a couple of weeks of vacation before we head to the Land of The Rising Sun and the Land Down Under. Our Japan headline shows have already sold out and we also have a string of headline shows we will be playing in Australia and New Zealand in between Big Day Out shows and from what we hear these shows are also selling out nicely so we know heading to Japan, Australia and New Zealand will be a great way to kick off 2007. We have some other touring news that we will get out soon, we have a support tour in the US coming up and then we will head back over seas for our own European and UK headline tour. More to come on all that later. So on behalf of Travis, Corey, Paolo and our management we want to extended to all our family, friends, fans, web site members, moderators, admins and supporters our best wishes for a happy and safe holiday season and we hope you get or find whatever it is you are looking for. 2006 was a great year for Trivium thanks to all of you and as we continue to grow and develop we look forward to even bigger and better things to come in 2007 and beyond. Have a safe and happy holiday season and have a Happy New Year. MKH”
Dragonforce’s rhythm virtuoso Dave Mackintosh has taken time out of his hectic schedule to update us on the bands current UK tour. It’s that time again folks, I’ve been asked to write a diary,(and no one else can be assed to do it), so here goes, (by the way, please bear in mind my punctuation is shite, spelling even worse, and usually I will be either getting drunk, drunk or nursing a hangover). HELLO FOLKESTONE!!!!!29/11 The first date of our final tour, to wrap up the busiest year ever! middle of no where, huge room, sold out already. This is the biggest production for us on this tour, we have our own articulated lorry, carrying our own huge p.a. rig and monitor system, and a massive lighting rig with loads of trusses, once it’s all up, it is awesome, we have the largest and best crew to date, some from old blighty, and some from the u.s. I have a massive new shiny kit,(not sure whether to play it,or fly it!) the rest of the boys all have shiny new toys to play with too, so if your at a show and it sounds shit,it’s our fault! lol. So, the show, I walked up on stage to see a packed room, just a sea of people, I didnt know we would sell out that place, but holy fuck! what a roar as we went on! Fans were just fantastic. For a first show,we were all really happy, sound was great, fans were great!!! what can I say? After the show, the beer and wine was flowing freely as usual,i nipped across the road and had a lovely curry!(not so good on the way out though!) all in all a great night. Highlight of the day? finishing the show with no major injuries. low point? see curry above. quote of the day? “bugger off ya bastard” Remember: Dragonforce’s stunning album ‘Inhuman Rampage’ OUT NOW!!
