Trivium’s D.A.M. Management gives an update The Crusade World Tour

Posted on February 12, 2008

We’re halfway through the first leg of Trivium‘s The Crusade World Tour 2006-2007 – 71 concerts in 4 months in the United States, Canada, Finland, Sweden, Norway, Holland, France, Spain, Italy, Germany, Switzerland, UK, Ireland, Japan, Australia and New Zealand. We’ve just recently finished the North American portion of the tour and it was a blast. We are currently overseas in Europe as Very Special Guests to the mighty Iron Maiden -quite an honor!!! If we don’t make it to your city on this initial run, there is a good chance we’ll make it later in 2007 as we’ve just added an additional leg to the North American Crusade and we will be announcing headline dates for the European Crusade in the VERY near future. All of this touring supports the October release of the current album THE CRUSADE. Lots of work to do! Touring in support of our debut Roadrunner Records album Ascendancy was amazing. The Download Festival (2005 & 2006) playing on the sacred Donington stage in front of 60,000 screaming metal fans with fists in the air, Ozzfest 2005, two sold out headline tours of the UK & Ireland including – in March 2006 two sold out nights each at Dublin’s Ambassador and London’s Astoria were just some of the highlights, there were so many other highlights in between and we do cherish all of them. Most importantly, we know that the only reason TRIVIUM can do this is because you the fans make this possible – we all truly appreciate your support. Speaking of The Crusade – we want to give a big thank you to our fans around the world who helped the album make a splash the first week. The record went straight to the charts in a number of countries: No. 7 on the UK charts (where it was certified Silver upon release), No. 23 in the USA, Germany and Canada, No. 12 in Ireland, No. 14 in Australia, Austria No. 44, Switzerland No. 92, The Netherlands No. 64, Norway No. 61, Sweden No. 41, Italy No. 86, and No. 46 in Japan. this is beyond our expectations so — Thank you! We hope you like the new record THE CRUSADE as much as we do. Even though recording is fun, for TRIVIUM it is all about taking the show on the road to the fans and playing live. We live for it and we can only hope the shows are as much fun for you as they are for us. We’ve had the opportunity to play over 400 shows around the world since May of 2004 and we look forward to the next 400! Have a safe and happy holiday season, we hope to see you somewhere on the road in 2007 at the shows! Justin & Brian Trivium D.A.M. MANAGEMENT

STONE SOUR are set for a triumphant return to the UK in March.

Posted on February 12, 2008

2006 has been kind to STONE SOUR, with all tickets for their last UK tour sold out and the band’s new album, ‘Come What(ever) May‘ romping out of the stores. In the US, the album has already raced past a gold certification (500K shifted) and the band are Grammy nominated for their ‘30/30-150‘ single. Expect similarly spectacular results in 2007. ‘Come What(ever) May‘ picked up stellar reviews on its release earlier this year, with the NME dubbing it ‘blistering’ and Classic Rock magazine announcing it was ‘An awesome statement of intent’. Likewise, Kerrang!’s recent London Astoria gig review was a 5K froth-fest. When asked about the tour, STONE SOUR‘s inimitable frontman, Corey Taylor was in effusive form, exclaiming, í¢ä‰åñOh god! Great shows, awesome fans, killer energy, delicious curries, who needs that?! Wait, what were we talking about?í¢ä‰åŒ He continued, í¢ä‰åñJust when I thought it couldn’t get any crazier, here we come back for more! We cannot fucking wait!í¢ä‰åŒ Sun 11th Mar í¢ä‰åäóì Birmingham Academy Mon 12th Mar – Manchester Apollo Tue 13th Mar í¢ä‰åäóì London Astoria Thu 15th Mar í¢ä‰åäóì Glasgow Academy Tickets go on sale on Friday 15th December and are priced 퉌£12 in Glasgow, 퉌£15 in Birmingham and Manchester and 퉌£17 in London. Available from box offices and all usual agents, you can also buy online at www.livenation.co.uk or www.aloud.com.

3 Inches Of Blood give an update on their new studio album

Posted on February 12, 2008

Set for a Spring 2007 release, the as yet untitled 3 Inches Of Blood latest release is well on its way. Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison is producing the new album, he says, “I’ve been into 3IOB since ‘Battle Cry Under a Winter’s Sun‘. I’ve wanted to work with them since. Unfortunately, timing didn’t work out, but in the spring of 2006, timing was right. The new lineup is lethal, stellar musicians. We honed in on every beat riff and vocal to make this a legendary recording. The musical equivalent to a beheading.” Mainman Jamie Hopper says of Joey, “Working with Joey has been awesome so far, He’s made a seamless transition onto the 3 INCHES OF BLOOD drinking team and is pushing us harder than ever before. We’re coming up with some killer stuff, which we can’t wait for everyone to hear.” 3 INCHES OF BLOOD is Cam Pipes (vocals), Jamie Hooper (vocals), Justin Hagberg (guitar), Shane Clark (guitar), Nick Cates (bass) and Alexei Rodriquez (drums). Don’t forget you can still buy 3 Inches Of Blood‘s first release ‘Advance and Vanquishhere SOURCE: BLABBERMOUTH

Devildriver reveal new song titles

Posted on February 12, 2008

California’s DEVILDRIVER is hard at work recording their third album for Roadrunner Records at the Sonic Ranch studio outside El Paso, Texas. Producing and mixing the album is Jason Suecof, known for his great work with TRIVIUM, CHIMAIRA, GOD FORBID, and BURY YOUR DEAD. Engineer Mark Lewis is helping the band in the studio as well. Their recording is almost done, and their last day in the studio is December 17. Known for their uniquely sinister sound and dark subject matter, the band is keeping true to form with working songtitles including “Damning the Heavens“, “Cattle Call“, “The Last Kind Words” and “Monsters of the Deep“. The album itself is still untitled. Says frontman Dez Fafara, “In a time when most bands are trying to be METALLICA, PANTERA, or IRON MAIDEN, we have made sure our sound is exclusively DEVILDRIVER. The songs are faster and more riffy than on ‘The Fury Of Our Maker’s Hand‘, and there are also more solos. But with all the same groove that makes DEVILDRIVER different.” Obviously satisfied with the progress thus far he adds, “Working with Jason and Mark has been great. They know how to capture the vibe of this band.” In 2003 DEVILDRIVER released its self-titled debut album and participated in the 2004 Ozzfest tour. “The Fury Of Our Maker’s Hand” was released in 2005 and was reissued in October as a special-edition version with six bonus tracks and a DVD. DEVILDRIVER features Dez Fafara (vocals), John Boecklin (drums), Mike Spreitzer and Jeff Kendrick (guitar) and Jon Miller (bass).
