And who said that Kerrang! TV had lost its touch and didn’t promote the bands its name was synonymous with in years gone by? Well those who had thought that in the past better think again, because tomorrow Friday 4th May is MACHINE HEAD day on Kerrang! TV (Sky #354).
As Trivium continue the crusade across the world, check out Matt’s update below:
What's up girls and boys?
MKH here writing from sunny Belgium. We just had the hottest fucking show of our lives last night in Paris (It was about 94 degrees F behind the stage while we were on… add 5 – 10 degrees with lights and body heat up front of the stage) and the crowd was fucking crazy the whole time!
Good job Paris – Merci Beaucoup!
So as you can tell – we just finished up the UK/Ireland leg of the Trivium European tour; and it was fucking spectacular. Every single show on that portion of the tour was so much fun – great fans, great bands, and a really amazing time. We thank everyone who came out and rocked their hearts out with us – it was truly a blast.
Anyone who came out to London had to have seen the grins on our faces… that show (all the shows we've ever played have rocked immensely) but that show was one of our top favorite shows ever.
Unfortunately, we had to say au revoir to Gorjia the other day (they were just on the UK/Ireland leg of the tour). We had such an incredible time hanging out with the Gorjia band and crew- we are proud to say that those people are some of our new best friends.
All the best luck to the heaviest band in the universe.
So now it's time to rock out with many many more countries across mainland Europe with our super-pals in Sanctity and the metal masters in Annihilator.
Thanks so much to all our incredible friends in UK/Ireland… we'll miss you.
To all our fans where ever you are in the world:
We love you.
Love and metal
MKH.

Dave Mustaine, Megadeth frontman has posted the message below on the official Megadeth website:
“As I sit in my office, somewhere just before 7:15 a.m., I am preparing to leave San Diego County for Albuquerque, New Mexico. I have been really enjoying playing Arizona and California so far on this tour, but I am excited to see NM Droogies after the last two Gigantour visits there.
“What a metal city!
“I noticed some of you are happy with the current set list, and are enjoying yourselves with my/our newfound energy. Well, we feed off of you, so thanks!
“And we were given 5 extra minutes to play, and the show sometimes starts 5 minutes early, so when that happens (and it usually does), I get a chance to take a break, have a sip, and do an encore.
“We may change the setlist, but you know the saying, 'If it ain't broke, don't fix it,' unless you're a tweaker, and in that case you already fixed it ten times and it's still broken.
“I am not even going to try to explain about the single switch from 'A Tout Le Monde' to 'Washington Is Next!' I am just glad you like it; although the truth would '(Set Me Free)'.
“It's good seeing the MACHINE HEAD guys every day, and I am starting to see details of our Europe trip, which really excites me. I can't wait to play some new songs to our international Droogs!
“Well, my car is approaching and I should leave now, but I wanted to say thank you to my dear friend Andy Sneap. Andy, I hope you kept the dartboard. Great news on the EMI stuff, and I'll see you soon.
“I need to tell Elliot and Dean that nothing has ever made me this excited about a guitar! I can't wait to get my new models and watch Glen [Drover, guitar] and Shawn [Drover, drums] slobber! Yee-haw!!! And to DDrum! I have never seen a cooler drum kit in my life! Thank you guys!
“Lastly, it's 17 days to release (16 overseas) and I want to thank you all for your patience while I had to search inside me for this record. It may not completely fill you, because some of you still have holes like I once had (and . . . some you are just fat bastards!), but it certainly fills me . . . for now!”

Talking with World Entertainment News Network, Slipknot/Stone Sour frontman Corey Taylor gives an insight into his life as a teenager, living in a trailer park near Waterloo, Iowa:
“At a place like that, there's only two things to do, really – you take drugs, and you f**k. Crank (form of methamphetamine) was just starting, and I was a total speed freak and really into coke. I remember waking up one morning in a dumpster. This is all conjecture on my part, because I lost a couple of days, but I think I OD'd at a party.
“And, instead of taking me to a hospital, they took me somewhere and dumped me in a trash can, thinking I was dead. So I come to, I've got no shoes on, I've got no T-shirt, I've got blood on my face. I'm 12 miles from my house, and I proceeded to walk from there. The whole way home. I was like, I've gotta get out of here.”

Blabbermouth reports a full-length, uncensored version of ‘Aesthetics of Hate’ is available on the ‘media’ page of the official Machine Head website. It can also been downloaded here (Flash Video file, 22 MB).
This is the first track from the recently released ‘The Blackening’, the track was inspired by an article called “Aesthetics of Hate: R.I.P. Dimebag Abbott, & Good Riddance”.
The song is a ‘fuck you’ to the author of the article William Grim, from Machine Head’s Robb Flynn:
“It basically said that Dime was untalented and that he reaped what he sowed,” Flynn told MTV.com about the article. (Grim called Abbott “an ignorant, barbaric, untalented possessor of a guitar” who looks “more simian than human” and “part of a generation that has confused sputum with art and involuntary reflex actions with emotion”). “It's one thing to have an opinion about an artist, but the thing that was the most offensive to me was how it then went on to cast this huge generalization over the metal community, calling us pathetic for mourning his death. He called us all ugly and fat. I wanted to punch the fucking computer screen when I read that article.”
