The anticipation surrounding the release of DIVINE HERESY's phenomenal debut offering, Bleed The Fifth, continues to build leading up to its August 27th release. The album's striking cover art, created by acclaimed artist Joachim Luetke (Dimmu Borgir, Arch Enemy, Marilyn Manson), and track listing has been posted on the band's official MySpace page www.myspace.com/divineheresyband.

DIVINE HERESY has just welcomed Joe Payne (ex-Nile) into the band as their new bass player, and his sheer intensity and enthusiasm has added a new dynamic to the group's already devastating arsenal. Expect a major U.S. fall touring announcement to be make in the coming weeks.

The group has chosen acclaimed director Christoffer “Salzy” Salzgeber (Damageplan, Soulfly) to shoot their first video for the track “Failed Creation,” later this month.

Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison is reported by Launch Radio Networks as saying that Slipknot will be writing their new album in January 2008 with it likely to be released in the spring of that year. Joey told Launch:

“We'll probably start touring a month or so before the album comes out, kind of the same way we did the Jagermeister Tour before 'Vol. 3' came out,” he said. “So we'll do something like that as well and we're looking at right now doing some European festivals next year, but nothing's in stone yet. You know, there's still some things to be worked out, but the main thing is, you know, the fans should know that there will be another Slipknot record.”

He also revealed that compared to their last release ‘Vol. 3: (The Subliminal Verses)’ will be “heavy as f***,” adding that it will also be “just as weird and as experimental” as that album.
