It looks like the boys have done it again. hot from the press office… The legendary Dani Filth and his counterparts in Cradle Of Filth return with a new wardrobe, a new label and a fantastic new album ‘Nymphetamine’. Cradle of Filth have risen above the confines of the heavy music scene í¢äåäóì the music at times left trailing behind the wake of Dani Filth’s celebrity & the rounds of controversy that hang on the coat-tails of this band. Dani’s usual rock and roll antics have been out of the limelight whilst the band have been holed up in the studio laying down the new tracks. Now released the band find themselves once again at the centre of a controversy storm. ‘Gilded C*nt’ – the first downloadable track from the outstanding new album – has whipped up a storm across the pond where it seems the ‘C’ word has caused offence to our American friends, a host of complaints having been levied at the bands US representatives. ‘Gilded C*nt’ has proven to be one of the most downloaded preview tracks in our online history. Merchandise company Blue Grape have had their printing plant refuse to handle the proposed artwork for the new COF T-Shirt. The factory (TOT Shirts Ltd.) have been forced to reject the order since staff literally downed tools in disgust. The proposed artwork (see it HERE) features the image of a bare breasted women seemingly bleeding from between the legs & the bands logo on the front, with the words ‘You Gilded C*nt’ on the reverse. Blue Grape have had huge demand for the T-shirt with worldwide orders flooding in. The company have no choice but to work on an alternative design. The director of TOT Shirts Ltd. stated: “It is believed that the requested image and associated wording will cause offence to the general public and to our staff due to the controversial nature of the subject.” It wasn’t long ago Cradle of Filth found their fans the subject of a brush with the law for the now infamous ‘Jesus Is A C*nt’ T-Shirt. Lord Provost of Glasgow demanded the shirts be removed by the police from Tower Records. The Catholic League of America, along with the Governor of Wisconsin campaigned heartily for the shirt to be banned. We wonder if the Catholic League are about to climb aboard the good ship outrage again. Further religious controversy is being fuelled by their visit to Chile in the next 10 days í¢äåäóì where a Satanist teenager stabbed and murdered a priest. The promoters are having to bring in extra security for the backlash this has now created against the band and it seems Cradle of Filth will not get the welcome to South America they had hoped for. Here in the UK the ‘Gilded C*nt’ track has been subject to the usual censorship only being allowed plays on radio post mid-night. Radio One’s Rock Show have championed the track here, being careful to adhere to ITC rulings forbidding presenter Mike Davies from actually saying the ‘C’ word whilst introducing the trackí¢äå_ without a forewarning.

His father-in-law laughed and said, “Reports of his death are greatly exaggerated.”

Theory Of A Deadman – it’s been a while since we last had a Theory update. Here’s one: the band has been holed up at Bay 7 Studios in LA for the past month and a half. In fact, word is the recording of their second release will wrap up next week. Trivium – remember when we said the start date for Trivium hitting the studio was pushed back due to the weather in Florida? Well, we lied.
