Attention heavy metal warriors and guitar heroes across the land. DRAGONFORCE release their new album, ‘Ultra Beatdown,’ on 25th August.
‘Ultra Beatdown’ is an epic, riff-laden collection of infectious guitar anthems guaranteed to please their ever-expanding ranks of followers. DragonForce’s single “Through The Fire and Flames,” exploded beyond the metal world thanks to its appearance as the hardest setting on the hugely popular ‘Guitar Hero 3’ game. In the UK, the single’s parent album ‘Inhuman Rampage’ has shifted over 80,000 units and is still romping out of the stores. Likewise, in the US, the single has been certified Gold, with the album scanning over 300,000 copies (and counting) to date.
The track listing for ‘Ultra Beatdown’ runs as follows:
Heroes of Our Time
The Fire Still Burns
Reasons to Live
Scars of Yesterday
Heartbreak Armageddon
The Last Journey Home
Inside the Winter Storm
The Warrior Inside
DRAGONFORCE will spend the summer as a main stage attraction on the inaugural Rockstar Energy Mayhem tour in the US, which features labelmates/headliners Slipknot, as well as Machine Head, Mastodon and Airbourne, to name just a few. DragonForce will undoubtedly tear up the stage with their guitar acrobatics, with trade-off solos from the virtuosos known as Herman Li and Sam Totman, as well as the soaring, room-filling vocals of ZP Theart. Bassist Frederic Leclerq and drummer Dave Mackintosh supply the band’s rhythmic backbone, while Vadim Pruzhanov laces the band’s power metal sound with keyboards.
Expect the guys back home in the UK this September, for a headline run; their first shows since their inclusion on the hugely successful ‘Black Crusade’ tour of last Winter, that took in arenas across the country. Tickets are going fast, so pick yours up now at www.ticketmaster.co.uk or www.aloud.com, before it’s too late.
