Nickelback Nominated For US Awards
Posted on February 12, 2008A nice piece of news from our RR US compadres…. So, you guys like Nickelback right? Well maybe thats why they’ve been nominated in the Radio Music Awards and the American Music Awards. First up are the Radio Music Awards, which will air on October 25th at 9:00 PM on NBC. Nickelback’s six nominations include: – ARTIST OF THE YEAR: Rock Radio – SONG OF THE YEAR: Modern Adult Contemporary Radio “Someday” – SONG OF THE YEAR: Rock Radio “Figured You Out” – SONG OF THE YEAR: Rock Alternative Radio “Figured You Out” – SONG OF THE YEAR: Top 40 Radio “Someday” – CINGULAR ARTIST OF THE YEAR Next up, are the American Music Awards. Nickelback are nominated for “Favorite Band, Duo or Group” in the Pop/Rock category against the likes of Outkast and Evanescenese. Pfft. Why even bother having the ceremony? Just FedEx the award over to Chad and crew. The American Music Awards air on Sunday, November 14, 2004, 8-11 PM (Eastern and Pacific Time) on ABC.
