NICKELBACK SET TO PERFORM ON MTV’s “HARD ROCK LIVE” & VH-1’S “VH-1 CONCERT SERIES” Nickelback’s New Single “Someday” #1 Most Added Across All Rock Formats Band’s Forthcoming Third Album The Long Road Set to Hit Stores on September 22nd “Expect instant saturation at rock and pop radio, followed by what is likely destined to be the biggest non-rap record of the year. A perfect ear-scorching 10.” – Billboard (Aug 9′ 03) New York, NY- August 7, 2003- Nickelback has announced that they will perform on MTV’s “Hard Rock Live,” which will tape on August 19th in Orlando, Florida. The show will air during prime time on MTV US later this year. Nickelback has also confirmed to appear on VH1’s upcoming “VH-1 Concert Series.” Taping will take place on August 26th at the EMP Sky Church Theater in Seattle, Washington and will air in the US on September 23rd in conjunction with the release of their highly-anticipated album The Long Road, which hits stores that same day in the US, one day earlier in Europe. Nickelback’s new album The Long Road is already on track to becoming another massive hit for the band. In the US, their new single “Someday” was the #1 greatest gainer at all rock formats (Modern, Active, Mainstream and Heritage) this week, with airplay at nearly 200 stations across America. The single is logging an incredible 3000 spins per week nationwide in only its second week at radio. The Long Road follows hot on the heels of the band’s multi-platinum sophomore release Silver Side Up, which featured three #1 rock hits, “Too Bad”, “Never Again” and “How You Remind Me”, the US #1 Most Played Song of 2002. The combined airplay of these songs led to Nickelback’s earning the title the #1 Most Played Rock Artist of 2002 Across All US Radio Formats (Billboard Monitor). The video for “Someday” was recently shot in Vancouver by video director Nigel Dick. It will be hitting television screens across the country from the end of next week! Nickelback’s new album The Long Road hits stores on Monday, September 22nd, 2003. Available for limited time only, the first pressing of The Long Road will be a deluxe digipak, featuring exclusive band photos and three bonus tracks, including Nickelback’s version of “Saturday Night’s Alright (For Fighting)”.
